The College is pleased to announce the opening of a Unit Manager at Mission Park Dining Hall, reporting to the adjunct Director of Student Dining. Mission Park is a high-volume board plan dining hall serving approximately 200,000 meals annually. Information technology offers a variety of freshly prepared food options, including char-broiled grilled items, pizzas, and hot deli sandwiches while also actively facilitating off-site meal staged from the Mission Park dining facility.

The ideal candidate will be expected to provide strong, practiced leadership abilities while managing the everyday operations of this complex unit. The Unit Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the operation related to staffing, food production and service, financial accountcapability, and safety. They will be responsible for overall adherence to the best practices and professional expectations of the food-service industry, the department, and Williams College. This individual must be able to articulate, create, execute and maintain a vision for a vibrant food service program in Mission Park.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in business/marketing, hotel/restaurant management or related field, at least five years of progressive practice, or an equivalent combination of education and practice. The capability to work both independently and as part of a team, solve problems, and organize details is necessary. practice with menu planning, quality food and service preparation/presentation is necessary. practice with specific food service-located interfaces, primarily CBORD and MICROS operating systems, is ideal. Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving expertise are required. Demonstrated management practice will be essential for consideration. ServSafe and/or HACCP federal guideline certification also required. The base schedule is M-F 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and must be able to work nights and weekends when warranted.

This is a full-time, year-round, regular appointment.
