The Employers Association of the NorthEast is leading the search for an Executive Director for WestMass Eldercare. WestMass ElderCare is a private, non-profit agency, located in Holyoke Massachusetts, that offers a variety of services and programs for elders and people with disabilities. Their mission is to preserve the dignity, independence, and quality of life of elders and disabled persons desiring to remain at home and engaged within their own community.

The Executive Director will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the agency. This seasoned professional will be passionate about the mission of the agency and possess the demonstrated ability to lead the agency in a manner that results will ensure the goals of WestMass ElderCare are achieved and the organization continues to thrive amid opportunities and challenges.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
● Ability and willingness to support the mission, goals and policies of WestMass ElderCare including the ability to interpret, understand and adhere to the laws, regulations, standards and procedures as set forth by the agency’s, funding sources, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Federal government
● Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Care Administration or related field
● Minimum of eight years of experience in a senior management position within a non-profit organization, preferably with a similar community service mission.
● Experience managing the fiscal operation of a multi-million-dollar organization receiving funding from diverse sources
● Previous experience in programs that support the needs of seniors or persons with disabilities is highly desirable
● Demonstrated experience in finance, human resources, planning, evaluation and program development
● Excellent interpersonal skills necessary and the demonstrated ability to make convincing oral and written presentations
● Experience and demonstrated success working in a culturally diverse environment and, championing the needs of a diverse consumer base
● Ability to instill confidence, display integrity, model behavior and build a team atmosphere
● Possesses leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with all levels of personnel
● Demonstrated innovative and creative approach to problem solving coupled with effective negotiation skills
