Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time PCA to join our friendly, energetic team that is committed to assisting a client with a brain injury.

Pleasant and supportive work environment in a private home. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and participation in therapy and social/recreational outings like horseback riding, gym, swimming, kayaking, sledding, cycling, etc.

Shifts that we are looking to cover are Saturdays (starting end of June/beginning of July) and Sundays effective immediately.

Additional hours are possible if desired throughout the week, and we are open to hiring more than one person in order to cover all shifts. Having a flexible schedule is preferred for filling in when needed.

Specific requirements:

Prior relevant experience preferred (PCA, CNA, or an individual pursuing work in a medical or rehabilitation field)
Professional qualities -- punctual, dependable, & responsible
Personal qualities -- trustworthy, patient, & compassionate
Physically fit -- transfers are generally easy, but strength is a plus
Valid driver’s license and safe driving history
Reliable transportation , preferably within 10 miles of the Amherst area
Team player – part of a caregiving team; working with others required

Must be a non-smoker and able to pass drug and CORI tests.
